Frequently Asked Questions

What qualifications do I need?

You need a valid phlebotomy certificate, an enhanced DBS check, and professional indemnity insurance. We verify all documents manually before activation.

How much can I earn?

Rates start from £35 per appointment and can increase depending on location, test complexity, and urgency. You can also submit counter-proposals on jobs if you feel the rate should be higher.

How often do I get paid?

Completed jobs are paid weekly via direct bank transfer through Stripe Connect. You can view your earnings breakdown in real time on your dashboard.

Am I employed by Lola Dispatch?

No. Phlebotomists on Lola Dispatch work as self-employed contractors. You choose your own jobs, set your own rates, and manage your own tax affairs.

Can I work in multiple areas?

Yes. You can set multiple coverage postcodes, each with its own radius. This lets you cover different areas on different days if you prefer.

What equipment do I need?

You should bring your own phlebotomy kit (vacutainer system, tourniquets, swabs, sharps bin). Many phlebotomists already have their own kit — but we can advise if you are setting up for the first time.

Is there a minimum number of jobs?

No minimum commitments. Work as much or as little as you want. Some phlebotomists do 1–2 jobs a week, others do 30+.
