Phlebotomy training through an NHS employer
Training in phlebotomy as part of an NHS job, and what to ask about it.
How it works
Some NHS employers train their own staff in phlebotomy, and some advertise trainee phlebotomist posts. Training takes place at work, under supervision, using the employer’s equipment and procedures.
What to ask
Ask whether the training leads to a qualification you can take to another employer, or to an internal sign-off that applies only where you trained.
