What a short, intensive phlebotomy course can offer, and its limits.

What they are

Short courses cover venepuncture theory and technique in a compressed format, usually with practice on training arms.

Who they suit

They tend to suit people who already work in clinical settings and will continue supervised practice at work afterwards.

Limits

A short course cannot give much supervised practice on real patients. Ask what the certificate represents and whether employers you are interested in accept it.
